I don’t get to Melbourne as much as I would like to these days but it’s always nice to come back to a place that has lots of good memories. I lived in Melbourne for ten years in the nineties while I was at university then worked for several years before I moved to Sydney.
It’s like coming back to an old friend (who has grown up a bit, works for a merchant bank, and now drives something new and imported – same person but I’m not sure if we will still get on …) time will tell I guess
John.
Adore Melbourne, and visiting friends there. Fantastic pubs and live scene compared to Sydney and equally brilliant cafes for good coffee when you’re hungover the next morning! ;)
Hi Danielle, I had a walk around this evening and I can only agree. Melbourne has an even better feel to it these days than it did when I used to live here! Loving it.
So jealous that you are in Melbourne! I love the city and everything that it offers – the culture, the food, the fashion, the architecture.. and so much more. Given its winter time, it would be pretty cold at the moment. Hope you are all warmed up and enjoying your stay :)
Thankfully it’s actually not that cold at the moment, but I hear rain is predicted for tomorrow! I will be staying warm and dry :-)
